Recipes for Detox Diets To Clean Your System and Lose Weight

Body cleansing diets, otherwise known as detox diets are more in fashion than ever. That sound you hear is coming from celebrities and non-celebs applauding the benefits of detox diets. They clean your body by getting rid of a lifetime of accumulating toxins. Those who have tried them insist that the recipes for detox diets have led to a properly functioning system, feeling better, being healthier and losing weight. It makes sense when you consider that preservatives and hormones (added to our food), insecticides, fats, chemicals and more can linger in the body for many years.

A lot of people think detoxification is only something that people go through when trying to break their dependency on alcohol or drugs. In a way, both types of detox are similar in that they work by ridding the body of unpleasant things. Drug detox is meant to to give the patient some time to readjust to normalcy, and the process can be painful and potentially dangerous. Whereas formulas for detox diets are made to rid the accumulated impurities from the liver and colon, and as a result to improve overall health.

Most body cleansing plans consist of plenty of fiber and water, and the food itself includes things like beans, nuts, fruits and vegetables. Did you happen to notice what two main types of food are missing? If you guessed it was meat and processed starches then you’re right! Meat, bread, pasta and white rice all need to be drastically reduced, or cut out completely, as you are trying to cleanse the body’s digestive system.

Detox diets typically start with liquids only. This is to reduce the amount of solid food moving through your system. You can whip up a quick beverage by adding berries (or other fruit) to a blender along with water and ice (both from a purified source) until it’s the right consistency. This drink makes for an excellent breakfast or snack which will also help to get rid of the toxins that are present in your digestive system.

Apart from beverages, different kinds of soup recipes for detox diets are found in the typical plan. Gazpacho and other diet soups high in alkalines are often used in body and colon cleansing diets. Alkaline diets are heavy on nuts, legumes and vegetable; as they all help to get things moving along and are, therefore, good ingredients for soup recipes.

Try the following for a high alkaline and tasty recipe for a detoxifying soup broth. Start by chopping broccoli, celery, zucchini and spinach into small pieces. Then simmer them in a pot with distilled, or otherwise purified water, for a half hour or so. Next, put the result through a colander or strainer, being sure to reserve the broth. Throw away any remaining solids and enjoy the broth.

All of the recipes for detox diets mentioned above are made with effective ingredients to help keep your body’s digestive system running smoothly and to help you lose weight, too.

Recipes for Detox Diets To Clean Your System and Lose Weight

Extreme Obese Women – Tips That Will Heal

Morbid obesity is when someone has a body mass index, BMI, of over 40.  For those people, losing weight and getting in shape isn’t a vanity project, it can quite literally be a matter of life and death.  The problem is that for extreme obese women, and men for that matter, it is much more challenging to get in shape since you have so much to overcome.

Usually by the time you are morbidly obese you will also have some underlying health issues.  It can be anything from heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol to sore joints but it can all add up to make it hard to move or walk for any length of time.  Even though there are more challenges, please don’t give up hope.  You can still lose the unwanted, and dangerous, extra body fat and live a more active and fit lifestyle, you just may need a little extra help.

Here are some tips that may make it a little easier for you to find and keep the motivation to get in better shape:

1. First of all, talk to your doctor.   For one thing,  you can make sure that you are actually healthy enough to get some exercise and if you have any restrictions your doctor can tell you what they are.  Remember, working out isn’t an all or nothing prospect, even if you can’t go full bore because you have bad knees for example, that doesn’t mean you can’t do anything.  Just find out what modifications you need to do and do them. Another thing is that when the doctor clears you, you’ve just lost one of your main excuses for not working out.

2. Keep a food journal.  This may sound lame, but the truth is that we often eat for reasons other than hunger.  By keeping track of when we eat we have a better chance of recognizing a trigger and avoiding it, or at least substituting some nutritious alternative when we feel the need to snack.  I don’t know about you but at night when I’m vegging out in front of the t.v., I get ‘snacky’.  I just want to munch on something and the urge is almost overwhelming and virtually impossible to ignore.  So I decided if I can’t beat it I might as well figure out a way to make my snacks nutritious.  So now when I get ‘snakcy’ I just grab some low calorie popcorn or some fresh fruit or veggies.

3. Enlist the help of a personal trainer or a friend to keep you motivated.  Try to find a friend, preferably someone who is highly motivated about working out, and ask them if the two of you can workout together.  Ask them to give you a nudge in the rear end if you slack off.  Sometimes this element of ‘peer pressure’ can help keep you motivated.  It’s just harder to blow off a workout when you know your friend is expecting you.

4. Don’t buy a bunch of junk food and keep it at home.  Hardly anyone would have the will power to resist a craving if the food they were craving is twenty feet away in the kitchen.  Just don’t keep junk food in the house.

Whether you just need to lose 20 pounds or you’re an extreme obese women, the principles to lose weight are the same: eat a well balanced diet and move your body.  Don’t think of this as a ‘diet’, instead think of it as a new way to live your life, a better healthier way.

For one thing, while there may be some diets, exercise plans, and pills that can help you get in better shape, don’t think that you can use one of these things and that will be all.  You will need to combine eating the proper amount of the right type of food along with some type of activity several times a week to lose weight and stay in shape.  Don’t get overwhelmed, eating right is like any other skill, you can easily teach yourself to make better food choices.  Activity can be anything from an hour long cardio class at your gym to taking your dog for a walk.  Start small, just make sure you start.

2. Various metabolic diseases such as diabetes and high cholesterol and fertility problems such as polycystic ovary syndrome.

3. Many cancers occur more often in obese patients.  Some of the most common are kidney, liver, gallbladder, stomach, prostate, uterine, and pancreatic.

4.  Sleep disorders such as sleep apnea are more prevalent in obese people.

5. Psychological problems such as depression, low self esteem and extreme anxiety.

With all of these health issues, any of which can be potentially fatal, it just makes sense to start today so that you can have a healthier, and longer, tomorrow.  The road may be somewhat challenging, but when you’re thinking of giving up just remember that many others have done it before you, and you can do it to.  Keep the very real threat of being obese health problem in mind as a way not to scare you, but to keep you motivated to make the changes that really can save your life.
